One of the coolest things I get to do lately is take my son to school on my pone. See lil Drew just started kindergarden and he really enjoys our ride to school. We suit him up with his helmut and shades. Grab the back pack and toss into the cargo net and mount up. I have put a pad on the gooseneck for those sudden stops. As will pull out of the driveway he always asks to handle the throttle. Love it, the kids got no fear. Full wide open all the way. Now I have been riding motocross and desert riding seems like forever on a CR500. So I like to go fast over everything. Talk about your urban assault vehicle. We ride to school with all the gas that this Trikke Pone can put out. Flying off curbs is his favorite. He is just like his old man. Thrill junky. One of the neat things about this tandem Trikke ride is that drew really knows how to ride. It makes dropping into turns at high speed so much more fun. Whipping around corners and passing all the other kids just makes both of us giggle. He always says papa people are always looking at our TRiKKE. Yes son. They want one. When we pull into the school grounds all of the kids are ooing and aahing the ride. Off the TRiKKE with shades and helmut into the cargo net. Drew RNA off smiling cause all the kids are checking us out. Can't wait till after school to do it again.

Please watch out for fresh cement !
I mean, fresh… enough for you to get stuck.
It did happen to me.
I was commuting on the new tribreds 350W (it’s fast) on this path that takes me home from Trikke office. I travel through it every day. I knew they would be fixing it soon, I saw marks (spray) on the floor this week … the junction had a small lip.
Coming out of this turn, at about 16mph (already slowing down to cross the street), I saw the orange posts on the side of the track, but the track was still open… 3 feet from the fresh cement section I realized what was going on, the contrast of the floor made sense too late and I had no time to stop or go around it. My instinct was giving a little pull up on handlebar and try to float over that section, but as soon as the tires hit the mushy cement, all my weight went towards the handlebar because the trikke started digging in the cement. It was ok for a fraction of second, (you can clearly see the progression of the depth of the grooves) until my front wheel hit the next section’s hard lip. The trikke came to a halt! My balance was already in jeopardy and I was easily thrown forward. I started pivoting forward around the front wheel and when the handlebar was already low enough I jumped over the handlebar on my feet, run 2 steps, and using my hand and knee (ouch) I rolled on the floor (and it was a little downhill to help), stopping at the middle of the street… I wasn’t wearing a helmet or gloves (and knee pads or elbow pads …). A lady stopped and got out of her car and said: “wow… are you OK? Ah, you are already walking and limping. Want me to take you home?” .. I just replied… “City of Buellton… where are the workers? Thanks I will be OK”. And I started taking pictures and went home to pick up stuff, clean my wounds and ice my knee which was hurting and started swelling. In my way back to the office I told the workers to go back and fix it, showing my knee and … confusion.
I went there later and sneaked around the tapes (now they closed the path with tape) and tried to leave 3 light tires marks to be remembered, but the cement was too hard already… I mean 3 hours after my accident and maybe 1.5h after they re-fixed it the cement was rock hard.
I believe hit a possible small window between cement freshness and workers hackles.

Watch out!
.
Trikke unveils new 'green' ultralight personal transporter

UAE. Trikke Tech, the designer and developer of its patented three-point carving vehicles, announced the release of the electric Trikke uPT (ultralight Personal Transporter) at the Dubai International Boat Show last week.

Trikke was exhibiting at the show in partnership with Bond Trading. Trikke anticipates that consumers, municipalities, resorts and other vertical markets will view the Trikke uPT as a breakthrough product because it can easily be used for commuter transportation, staff and security mobility on large properties, destination tours and recreation. As well, it is a green transportation choice and extremely lightweight, requires very little mainten! ance, and is easily collapsible for transport and storage.

With its corrosion-free, 3-point cambering, aluminum frame, the Trikke uPT is capable of reaching 30 kph and traveling up to 30 kilometres on a single charge. The hot-swap, lithium ion battery is compact, lightweight and includes a key lock and LED charge indicator. The rider can optionally go faster and further by "carving", a fluid (and some say addictive) motion that propels the vehicle forward. Even if the battery should be drained completely, the rider can still propel it for many kilometres in this smooth carving fashion. The motion delivers a sensation much like that experienced by skiers when they are carving down the slopes. This sensation can now be experienced by all, in all parts of the world.

"It is fortunate that we are introducing the Trikke uPT at a time when the world is aggressively seeking clean transportation alternatives. Consumers, municipalities and corporations are looking for ways to participate in cleaner transportation technologies," said John Simpson, Trikke's CEO.

"The United Arab Emirates is a natural market for this launch because the area has quickly become world-renowned for deploying breakthrough ideas in urban development. The Trikke uPT is the first personal transporter that can legitimately be used for commuting, exercise and recreation by all. In the Bond Group we have found a partner that has access to the right entities and boundless ideas for this important launch, as well as a genuine excitement and connection to the sensation of carving down the road. Together we are looking to achieving success in various vertical markets such as airports, ports, municipalities, oil and gas sector, resorts, malls, parks. It is perfect for uses for s! ecurity personnel, parking enforcement staff as well as personal."

The Trikke uPT is a zero carbon emission vehicle that is not only green but also enhances physical fitness in a low impact manner. The uPT can also be easily ridden without wrinkling or soiling the rider's suit, skirt or local dress.

"Trikke uPT is the perfect vehicle for all. It encourages green transportation, health and well-being for both the self and the community at large. We are very excited about our partnership with Trikke Tech, the inventor of this extraordinary human/electrically powered vehicle with an outlook to start a UAE assembly facility that will allow the product to enter the region with fully backed-up commercial and technical support and advantage for the neighboring countries and beyond," added Nicholas W Mobayed, President and CEO of the Bond Group.

"We are just at the lifecycle starting line for Trikke uPT and the product roadmap is very exciting in terms of new features and product extensions," said Gildo Beleski, Trikke founder, Chairman and Chief Designer. "It is good to see that Trikke has found such an enthusiastic partner in Bond, and such a perfect launch market in the UAE."

In business since 1999, Trikke has sold hundreds of thousands of vehicles to enthusiasts worldwide. The product line includes the new TRIKKE uPT electric vehicle, human powered vehicles and the snow-carving Skki product. Trikke is based in Santa Barbara, California, US.
The sun was hiding behind a semi marine layer. The parade started at 11a and I think we arrived at 11:05. Parking was a madhouse and we parked 6 or 7 blocks away. Luckily I had the T12 tribred and a Pone with me. Cindy my wife rode with our son Drew (4) while I managed the banner and pole. When we made it to our starting point the parade was just beginning. We never even registered our check in and just winged it, there must have been at least a hundred groups being represented in the parade. Our number was 60 so at least we had a second or two to get ourselves ready. As we made our way onto the parade route down Pier Ave, Cindy spotted a school mate of Drews. He saw my son cruising on the Ekit with Fred and was hungry for a little action. Cindy scooped him up and James enjoyed his ride through the parade line. The route was a short one roughly 1.5 mile. This year it was standing room only. Corey was doing his tricks and hot dogging while Ann (mad women) was riding fast and having a great time. Fred was having a grand time with Drew and even commented on how my sons riding skills were, thanks to his dad. This was the year for the Tribred so we were out in force with it. We met a lot of new friends and made many contacts. I think after all was done we had a very successful run. Now we had James to watch for the day which is a perfect opportunity to get him all sugared up.
We had a sweet spot to do our demo’s and we were able to use a significant amount of area to get folks riding. This lot was huge, Right off Hawthorne Blvd. As this desolate piece of real estate started catching the over flow of the mall christmas shoppers our days were numbered.
More to follow, I gotta crash!!!!! It was no surprise to the local police that we were doing our demo’s here and they never bothered us. In fact a couple inquired about the Trikke. Well there just happen to be a new hire at mall security driving around in her little truck. After having a talk with Sean she informed us that there were rules against riding anything with wheels. Imagine that. Well we rebutted with our general information about the advantages of the trikke and that we were literatly 3 lots away from the mall. She turned to us and with a wisk of her hair stated the police were on their way and sure enough 1min later bam, cop. We had to leave this spot we called home for 6 mo. So now we are looking to find ourselves a new spot to train. wish us luck.

Just to say well I had to make sure every thing was there, or to check it out to see if it is safe. Now I`m wondering if I could get Medicare to buy one for me, like they do for the power chairs. I need help convincing medicare that I need one for re-hab. I`d like to be the first person who gets a Trikke for re-habing my back and leg problem. Will you look into this or me and see if it is possible? There`s probably several million people who could truly benifit from using one , and in good clean outside air. I can`t wait for Christmas, Thanks so much John Tanzi email, z1papajohn@aol.com

If you can`t get them to pay for one, please put my name in the drawing to win one. I told the man who sold it I was buying for my Grandson, and I was the person who wanted it. It sure would have been nice if he made me a good deal on a second one. Again thank, John Tanzi

Hello Andy, Yes you may use my email on your website. I was hooked on Trikke the first moment I saw one roll more than thirty feet and I new it was a gravity, surfing, blading, cross country skiing, skateboarding, and the natural forces that keep people grounded on the earth all rolled up in one easy package to pick up and slip under your arm or just have," days of fun and weeks of work-ou on a cool machine". WOW. I can`t wait to borrow it from my grandson on Christmas morning. I most likely will take you up on the offer to make me a deal I can`t re-fuse on another for me. I may be the first in my county as I have never seen one in Nevada County befor and I visit the park regularly to play a little tennis. Yes Yes do see if Medicare can understand re-hab or preventive medicine, or good old fashion exercise Thanks again John Tanzi

We had a 60x80 ft trakk setup to premier the new Tribred Trikke.
The response was great and we met alot of folks in and around the area. Music was blasting away and the best volleyball players in the world attended. The weather was typical socal sun. Everyone had a great time and I had the opportunity to meet the pro’s. The lessons were free and the new Tribred was showcased. This thing is peppy and nimble at the same time. Visit us to try it out today.
