Presidents Day Weekend Ride 2011
First Annual Presidents day ride in the SouthBay. Join us for a great experience with fellow trikkers for a patriotic time and the chance to ride with fellow trikkers.
Ready to ride
Ride Description:
We want you ... to join us on Saturday, February 19th, 2011, for the first-ever Presidents Day Weekend Trikke Ride, aka the Presidents Ride.
Show off your American spirit by dressing in red, white and/or blue, then get your Trikke on with another great group ride along the beaches of the South Bay, this time followed by a roast.
It's a celebration of hot dogs, apple pie and trikking.
The Presidents Ride, sponsored by SouthBay Trikke and TrikkeWorld Magazine.
Saturday, February 19th, 2011.
Trikke Off begins at 10am at Miramar Park in Torrance Beach. Round trip is nine miles and close to 11 miles if you include Manhattan Beach.
The Terrain is relatively flat since you're at the beach. The wind may pickup on the return trip. There are a couple of great hills at the starting point for whomever wants that challenge. The ride should last about two to three hours.
We will hold a Hill-climb workshop after the ride for those who are interested.
Rain Delay Schedule:
Similar to a baseball game, here's our plan for a rain delay.
In the event of a possible rain delay, SouthBay Trikke will asses conditions two hours before start time and announce a decision whether or not the course is safe for trikking. At that time a notification will post at SouthBayTrikke.com and related sources.
Call Andy at (310) 803-0445 for questions.

Parking is south of the park itself and you will see many of us riding around. Proceed into parking area and use central pay system. I believe it starts at $2 and depending on time can grow to $6. Once you have arrived, head to the Pit Stop for check in.
